Walgreen Targeted In FCA Suit Over Medicare Overbilling
Walgreen Co. was hit with a False Claims Act suit by a Medicare insurance plan sponsor on behalf of more than two dozen states, accusing the retail pharmacy chain of overbilling Medicare and Medicaid programs by, among other things, not substituting generic drugs for brand-name ones, according to a complaint unsealed Wednesday.
