    The Fifth Circuit on Friday rejected a Texas hospital network's bid to undo a February panel ruling blocking it and another health-care provider from pursuing $73 million in late payment penalties from Aetna Life Insurance Co.

    5th Circ. Asked To Rehear Aetna Late Payment Suit

    A network of Texas hospitals told the Fifth Circuit on Thursday it should rehear and correct its finding that they cannot seek more than $73 million in late payment penalties from Aetna because a prompt payment law doesn't apply to Aetna's administration of self-funded plans, saying it contradicts the state Legislature's will.
