Tenn. Abortion Laws Shot Down After 2016 High Court Ruling
A Tennessee federal court on Friday permanently blocked two of the state's abortion restrictions after Tennessee admitted they were doomed by last year's U.S. Supreme Court's ruling in Whole Woman's Health v. Hellerstedt, which found similar restrictions to be unconstitutional.

Abortion providers in Tennessee filed suit on Thursday seeking to block two controversial abortion laws scheduled to take effect next week, as well as an older law requiring women to wait 48 hours after in-person counseling before being allowed to undergo the procedure.

Tenn. Abortion Law Won't Be Enforced During Licensing Suit
A Tennessee federal judge put a state law on hold that would have forced the closure of two abortion-providing clinics for failing to meet new licensing standards, saying Friday that the state simply didn't give the clinics enough time to comply with the law.
