EEOC Settles First Sexual Orientation Discrimination Suit
A packaging supply company hit with one of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's first lawsuits accusing employers of gender bias for discriminating against employees over their sexual orientation must pay a former employee nearly $200,000 and donate $20,000 to the Human Rights Campaign, according to a settlement filed Thursday.
