Insurer Must Cover Vessel Pollution Removal, Court Told
A Lloyd's unit must reimburse a liftboat owner and another insurer for costs incurred after the vessel overturned in the Gulf of Mexico, the vessel's owner told a Louisiana federal court, saying the unit's marine policy provides coverage for liability under the Oil Pollution Act of 1990.
