JPML Won't Join Union Pacific Pipeline Rent Suits
The Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation on Monday declined to centralize proceedings for three suits lodged by landowners against Union Pacific Railroad Co. and Kinder Morgan alleging illegally granted easements, saying there were few enough parties that collaboration could be completed informally.

Ariz. Landowners Sue Union Pacific Over Rail Right-Of-Way
A proposed class of Arizona landowners on Friday alleged Union Pacific Railroad Co. has improperly used the subsurface of its railroad right-of-way to grant easements and collect rents from pipeline companies, joining a similar suit brought by California landowners.
