    A putative class of service members and their families, and a military housing landlord and the property managers urged a Virginia federal court on Tuesday to approve the global settlement of the putative class's claims alleging that the landlord and the property managers neglected the conditions of their military housing in a U.S. Army base in Fairfax, Virginia.

    Fort Belvoir Housing Managers Say VCPA Claims Are Too Late

    The agencies that manage military housing at Fort Belvoir in Virginia have urged a federal judge to reject a request for class action certification and to dismiss some of the claims in a suit that accuses the entities of failing to properly maintain the fort's living quarters and misrepresenting that they are habitable, saying the allegations are time-barred.

    A Virginia federal judge has refused to toss a consumer protection claim from a putative class action over allegedly poor military housing in a U.S. Army base, ruling on Monday that the putative class' consumer protection claim was specific enough not to be dismissed.
