Calif. City Urges 9th Circ. To Renew Housing Suit
The city of Huntington Beach urged the Ninth Circuit to revive its federal housing lawsuit against the state of California, saying the city is protected under the U.S. Constitution from the state's housing mandates and should not be treated as a political subdivision, according to an appellate brief filed Thursday.
