Pa. Extends Biz Tax Licenses, Certifications Amid Pandemic

By Asha Glover · 2020-03-27 13:57:34 -0400

Pennsylvania is extending the expiration of business tax licenses and certifications amid the coronavirus outbreak, the state's Department of Revenue announced Friday.

The extension, which follows the closure of the revenue department's offices and customer service call centers, will last until the department issues further communication. The extension applies to sales, use and hotel occupancy tax licenses, public transportation assistance fund taxes and fees, small games of chance manufacturer certificates and sales tax exemption certificates.

The department will also offer an extension letter to religious organizations whose sales tax exemption is due to expire March 31.
