US Recognizes Mich. Same-Sex Marriages, Holder Says
U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder said Friday that the federal government will recognize over 300 same-sex marriages that were performed in Michigan last weekend, despite the state's pending challenge to the recent ruling that said Michigan's ban on same-sex unions was unconstitutional.

6th Circ. Extends Stay Of Gay Marriage In Mich.
The Sixth Circuit on Tuesday extended its stay of a Michigan federal judge's order halting the enforcement of an amendment to the state's constitution and its implementing statutes excluding same-sex couples from marriage, citing a U.S. Supreme Court's issuance of a similar stay.
