Benihana Inc. has agreed to pay $600,000 to settle a class action brought by workers at several of its Haru restaurant locations seeking to recover unpaid wages, according to court documents filed in New York federal court Tuesday.

A federal magistrate judge recommended Tuesday that workers at several New York restaurants owned by Benihana Inc. should be able to pursue limited New York wage claims as a class, but shot down a bid to gain access to the eateries.
