A New Jersey federal judge on Thursday refused to reconsider his ruling holding the former trustee of a health plan responsible for money allegedly stolen from the plan, leaving the trustee and other defendants liable for restoring around $4.7 million to the fund.

A New Jersey federal judge ruled that the payments in a health plan that allegedly pocketed the money it collected were covered by the Employee Retirement Income Security Act, then found that people in charge of the plan were liable to restore some $4.7 million into the fund, according to a decision entered Monday.
