General Motors Co. told a New York federal court Monday to block plaintiffs in multidistrict litigation over faulty ignition switches from introducing a related $35 million consent order with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration as evidence at upcoming trials, calling it "irrelevant" to the plaintiffs' claims that the automaker concealed the defect.
