The attorneys who secured a $5.4 million deal for a group of Chinese workers who alleged they had to endure inhumane working conditions on a casino construction project will take home a nearly $688,000 fee in the Northern Mariana Islands federal suit, according to an order Thursday.

Seven Chinese migrant workers who were forced to work in "extreme, dangerous and inhumane conditions" for little or no pay at a Pacific casino construction project were awarded $5.9 million by a federal court in the Northern Mariana Islands on Monday.
