An Illinois federal judge on Friday approved a settlement calling for logistics company NFI Industries to pay nearly $3.5 million to resolve allegations that its finger-scan time-tracking practices breached the state's Biometric Information Privacy Act, but the finalized version of the deal may include trimmed attorney fees.
