Construction workers on Friday urged a D.C. federal court to keep in play their prevailing wage claims against a federal contractor, arguing that several opt-in plaintiffs' allegations are still ripe despite the workers forgoing their opportunity to certify a class.

A construction firm that worked on water main construction and other public works projects must face claims that it denied workers prevailing wages, as a D.C. federal judge ruled Thursday that workers need not specify the job class or prevailing wage they should have received.
