A Texas car dealership has agreed to pay $145,000 to end a U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission lawsuit alleging its owner made fun of the chief financial officer's age and then fired her because of her heart condition, the agency told a federal court.

The owner of an Amarillo, Texas, car dealership made fun of his chief financial officer's age and then fired the 68-year-old after she underwent heart surgery, according to a complaint the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission filed Wednesday.
