A Manhattan federal judge on Friday sent a lawsuit alleging onetime Donald Trump confidant Rudy Giuliani sexually assaulted a former employee back to the state court where it originated before the former New York City mayor had bumped it to federal.

A former employee accusing Rudy Giuliani of sexual assault and of withholding pay told a New York federal judge Tuesday that her lawsuit belonged in state court, arguing that she and her former boss had already started battling in the state venue.

Rudy Giuliani moved a former employee's suit accusing him of sexual assault from New York state court to federal court, where on Thursday U.S. District Judge Edgardo Ramos was assigned to the case Giuliani has called "salacious" and "meant to create a media frenzy."
