US Trustee Rips Breakup Fee In Furniture Brands Ch. 11 Sale
The U.S. trustee's office on Wednesday took issue with a proposed $6 million breakup fee attached to Oaktree Capital Management's $166 million stalking horse bid for bankrupt Furniture Brands International Inc., arguing it's too high given the cash portion of the deal.

Bankrupt Furniture Brands Seeks To Hand Out Bonuses
Bankrupt Furniture Brands International Inc. on Wednesday asked a federal judge in Delaware to let it pay more than $5 million in bonuses to 55 employees, including seven company insiders, if its assets are successfully sold at auction.

KPS May Enter Rival Bid For Bankrupt Furniture Brands
Private equity firm KPS Capital Partners LP crashed Furniture Brands International Inc.'s first-day hearing in Delaware bankruptcy court on Wednesday by signaling it was considering lodging a rival offer and alternative financing to prepetion lender Oaktree Capital Management’s $166 million bid and $140 million bankruptcy loan.
